Pine Needle Basket
I have a large pine tree of some sort in my front yard. Raking
up the needles one day I began to wonder if I could do something with the
rather large quantity of needles that I have available. My tree, whatever
it is, has needles that are 4½ to 5½ inches long. And then my
weaving instructor at Pioneer
Craft House announced that she was going to be offering a pine needle basket class.
The needles used for this class came from the Coulter pine and were about 10½ inches long. The binding is raffia.
